It’s a great time of the year to visit the Emerald Coast! Believe it or not, with winter weather in many parts of the county, you can still go outside here in Destin in short sleeves or a sweatshirt. We’ve had a few days that have been cold but here on the Gulf coast the cold usually doesn’t last very long and soon the days warm up nicely. It is the perfect time to go fishing in Destin so why wait?
Many of the snowbirds have arrived for the winter. Those are the people we see on freezing cold days in shorts, flip flops and tank tops. They must have built up an immunity to the cold that we in the south definitely do NOT have! They’re in the pools and actually swimming in the Gulf when the rest of us are bundled up in our homes with the heat on. It’s easy to tell the locals from the snowbirds that’s for sure!
We are hoping to get some Thanksgiving trips on the books. It’s a great time to go fishing in Destin if your family is planning a holiday get-together at the beach. We can accommodate large groups up to 22 although we can only fish 12 at once. We also offer something that no other boat fishing in Destin does, kids 12 and under go for free on the Bounty Hunter so there’s no reason to leave them behind.
