Blue Marlin…East Cape Yellowtail…Bay of L.A. Dorado…La Paz Roosterfish…Las Arenas

Good Yellowtail fishing here for private boaters. The yellowtail are on the weather side of North Island and Pukey Point along with more fish at the Middle Grounds and at the Light House kelp at South Island.

With the very light boat traffic, you may want to try slow trolling sardines. It's a very effective way of hooking yellowtail and without other boats around you won't be getting in anybody's way.

Barracuda are still hanging out at the Ribbon Kelp, at the Light House and SKR. No sportboats fishing here due to the threats from the Mexican Navy. A few private boats have been stopped but they were only asked for boat registration, Mex fishing license and photo ID. No mention of FMM's.

Report from Jesse: Fished the middle grounds with my dad on Saturday again and went five for seven on yellows. All fish were caught on anchor…four on bait and one on a blue and white tady 45 surface iron. We had two 10- to 12-pound class fish and the other three were 24 to 30-pound. Seals were definitely a problem and interfered with about a 1/4 of our fishing time but we would wait them out and then fish. Water has not changed--still clean and warm.
